Background
Before becoming a herbalist, Vanessa
gained a degree in English Literature & Language, then worked in PR & marketing
in Liverpool for several years. She decided to change careers, so successfully
completed training in aromatherapy, and is a member of the International Council
of Holistic Therapists (MICHT).
She then went on to the 3 years intensive
degree course at the University of Central Lancashire and the Preston Clinic of
Herbal Medicine, where she gained a BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine. This is an
exceptional degree course, taught by extraordinary people with vast experience
in herbal medicine and how it can best be used to benefit people. Vanessa is a
fully qualified member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).
She feels she has found her niche in
herbal medicine and aromatherapy, as she is doing something she truly enjoys,
while helping to bring health and well-being to others.

NIMH
The
National Institute
of Medical Herbalists, established in 1864 is one of the world’s oldest
professional bodies representing qualified herbalists. In the UK,
NIMH is the
leading authority on herbal health matters. It is dedicated to maintaining high
standards amongst its members, all of whom have undergone vigorous training, are
fully insured and follow a strict code of conduct.
Vanessa also practices
Aromatherapy Massage
Which helps to ease
tension and stress in the body, and relaxes and revitalises the body and spirit.
