Appointments in General
Our practitioners are usually are very busy and one shouldn't
expect to be seen on the day of calling, especially if you are new to
the practice. This is not necessarily a bad
thing! Often it is better for things to settle a little over a few days,
but try to keep moving as best you can. However if you phone early there
may be a free or cancelled afternoon appointment.
Appointments cancelled or simply not attended,
without 24 hrs notice are charged for. Someone else, that may be
suffering, could have been seen in this time & one day that may be
you!
On occasions we may run late, we are sorry, if this is
the case. Some cases are more complex than others & safety should
not be compromised by rushing. Please, also understand we are unable to
run late if you are late. You may be offered a short treatment or
re-booking, depending on the situation.
Osteopathic Appointments
One should allow 1 hr for initial consultations
& 1/2 hr for follow-ups. The fee is for the consultation/treatment
& not for a set time slot. Time is needed for notes.
Initial Consultation comprises
of a:- full medical history, examination, clinical tests (if indicated), etc., & usually
includes treatment. On occasions we may need to refer you to your GP or
elsewhere for further tests. This is for your safety & best care!
