Although we try to offer appointments as soon as possible when contacted
by our patients, we are not always able to give an appointment on the
same day. We do endeavour to fit acute patients into our list if cancellations
occur.
If you
are not able to attend an appointment, please let us know as soon as
possible as someone else may be desperate for your appointment slot.
We try to understand the reasons for non-attendance. However, if this
happens repeatedly you may be charged for the missed appointment
On occasions
we unavoidably may run late, for which we apologise. Some cases are
more complex than others and it may not be possible to run to time.
However, we are not able to run late if you are late, as this may inconvenience
others. You may be offered a shorter treatment or an alternative appointment
if this happens.

Practice
History
The Rodney Street Practice was started by Eleanor Barlow in
the 1960’s and was originally situated in number thirty nine.
Peter Lloyd, who worked in Wallasey, joined the practice in 1970 and
stayed until 1993. Christina Parsons moved back up from London in 1976,
buying out Eleanor Barlow who left to concentrate on her North Wales
practice and her Golf Club shortly afterwards.
In 1979
the Practice moved to 88 Rodney Street.
Over the
years many other osteopaths have worked in the Practice and contributed
to its character. Many of them have continued to work locally in their
own practices and other locations. Others are as far away as Australia.
Margaret Lavender joined the practice in 1982, replacing Farooq Khan,
who sadly died in 2001. Christopher Dixon replaced Peter Lloyd in 1993
and worked with us until 2003. Andrew Woodhouse joined us in 1998, when
Alison Court (now Bellamy) left to have a baby having worked in the
practice for eight years. He has now left to concentrate on his Neston
practice. Fionnuala Murphy joined us in 2002 when Kay Barker left to
concentrate on her other practices. Angus Wood also joined the practice
briefly.
